We are currently seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and ambitious storeperson / supply logistics officer who has experience working in a high pressure and busy environment to join our team at Core Drilling Services, in our head office.
This person will be responsible for ensuring the company procurement and supply logistics responsibilities are carried out to the highest standards, on time and with the highest financial gain to the company. As well as managing, maintaining, and gaining positive supplier relationships.
Who are we? Core Drilling Services are a specialist provider of Diamond and Reverse Circulation Drilling based in Perth with continuous year round contracts in the Pilbara.
The hours for this role will consist of Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm. (This may vary depending on operational needs, flexibility is a must).
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for the purchase for all raw materials and workshop consumables.
- Maintain good supplier relationships.
- Drive supplier performance in relation to service, pricing, quality, and technical support.
- Conduct initial sourcing, quotation, and negotiation for business requirements
- Prepare and maintain shipping documents and records of goods received or dispatched.
- An ability to communicate and follow up with suppliers on outstanding purchase orders.
- Work with operations to ensure accurate receipting and distribution of all incoming material and parts.
- Liaising with internal team members with updates on stock lead times.
- Ensuring quality system and purchasing procedures are adhered to.
- Challenge current sources of supply and look to minimise costs without compromising quality.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in supply chain / purchasing / inventory management role.
- Relevant industry experience with a knowledge of purchasing and logistics.
- Industry knowledge within the mining and drilling industry highly regarded.
- Strong computer skills, including MS office suite.
- Experience with an MYOB, Excel and be computer literate.
- Strong communication skills.
- Current Forklift Licence.
- Current HR Licence (Highly regarded)
- Well organised, efficient and reliable with a flexible approach to achieving results.
- Demonstrated exposure to and an understanding of warehouse/inventory operations.
